Baltimore police were investigating at least two homicides among four total shootings reported Thursday morning across the city, officials said.

Police spokesman Jeremy Silbert said two people were shot at about 9:50 a.m. in Brooklyn, in the 4200 block of 10th St., including an unidentified man who was struck several times and died on the scene. A woman was also hit in the leg and taken to a local hospital. The shooting was near the Brooklyn Homes project and not far from an elementary school.

"There were several people outside, but the only description we have was that two males were seen running east from the location," Silbert said.

Anyone with information was asked to call the homicide unit at 410-396-2100.

At about 7 a.m., police were called to the 4200 block of Pimlico Road in Northwest Baltimore for a report of a body in a rear yard. An unidentified 38-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the face and was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots at 1 a.m.

Police were also investigating a shooting about 10:05 a.m. in the 5900 block of Moravia Road in the Northeast District. An adult male was shot in the hand. Additional details were not available.
