A teenage girl and a 3-year-old boy were rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital after being struck by a car in East Baltimore Sunday afternoon, Baltimore police said.

The 14-year-old girl and the child were near the intersection of East Fayette Street and North Highland Avenue when they were struck shortly before 3:00 p.m., said police spokesman Kevin Brown. The children's injuries are not considered life-threatening, he said.

Charges are pending against the driver, he said.
