Unidentified man found fatally shot in East Baltimore

Police were investigating the fatal shooting of an unidentified man early Tuesday in East Baltimore.

An officer responding to a report of a shooting at E. Hoffman and N. Caroline streets in the Oliver neighborhood found the victim about 2:45 a.m., police said. Medics pronounced the man dead at 2:53 a.m.

The medical examiner's office will perform an autopsy, according to police.
