Police are searching for a Halethorpe teen charged with attempted first-degree murder in the stabbing of another teen at a Cockeysville party this month.

Eric Lionel Townes, 17, of the 400 block of Burbank Court is charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault in the stabbing of a 19-year-old man in the 100 block of East Padonia Road, Baltimore County police said.

Police responded at about 11:16 p.m. June 5 and found the victim with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.

Townes and the victim had been at a party when they got into an argument and Townes pulled out a knife, police said. The other teen started to run, but Townes caught up to him and stabbed him several times, police said.

The other teen was transported to Sinai Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587.
