One person was treated for mild smoke inhalation due to a small basement fire in West Baltimore Monday night, a city fire spokesman said.

The fire was reported around 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Mt. Holly St., in the building's basement.

Firefighters only required three pieces of equipment to get the blaze under control, instead of the 10 pieces, said the spokesman, Chief Kevin Cartwright.
