As the Ravens began their second passing camp Monday, cornerbacks Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb both received encouraging news on their recoveries from season-ending knee surgeries.
Washington expects to be ready for training camp after seeing his surgeon Monday, and Webb is "on schedule" to return, the cornerbacks tweeted Monday. Both saw Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala.
"Dr. [James] Andrews told me I was doing great," Washington said in a tweet.
Washington was lost for the remainder of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee after the Ravens' 17-15 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 22. Webb then tore the ACL in his right knee a month later in a 31-7 rout of the Chicago Bears.
Without Washington and Webb, the Ravens have gone with Domonique Foxworth and Chris Carr as their starting cornerbacks. Cary Williams has worked as the nickel back.
