Man struck by car on Route 97 in Glen Burnie

Victim was taken to Shock Trauma

A man suffered serious injuries Thursday night after he was struck by a car on Route 97 in Glen Burnie, state police said.

He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.

The pedestrian was struck on the four-lane highway near Route 100 at about 10:10 p.m. Police said the driver stopped after striking the man. The incident remains under investigation.

No additional details were available Thursday.
