Cape May Music Festival. Various locations throughout Cape May. 609-884-5404 or capemaymac.org. May 20-June 10. All shows begin at 8 p.m. The 21st annual festival features concerts of orchestral, chamber, world and new music. $5-$25.

June

Spring Thunder in the Sand. On the beach between Schellenger and Spencer avenues, Wildwood. 609-523-8051 or thundermoto.com. Beginning at noon June 5 and 10 a.m. June 6. Pro/Am motocross races for beginners and professionals. Spectators can catch the action from bleacher seating for $7, each day.

July

Centennial Fourth of July Weekend Freedom Festival. Rambler Road and Ocean Avenue, Gazebo-by-the-Sea area, Wildwood Crest. 609-523-0202 or visitwildwoodcrest.com. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 2-4. Crafts, live entertainment, food, kids' activities, more. Also, concerts at Fern Road at 7:30 p.m. July 2 (B Street Band), July 3 (2U), July 4 (Bandstand). Free.

Greater Wildwood Yacht Club Regatta. Sunset Lake, New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood Crest. 609-522-0969 or greaterwildwoodyachtclub.org. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 24-25. Boat races take place all weekend. July 24 features the International Optimist Dinghy class with 420 fleets, and July 25 includes Laser and Sunfish fleets. Free for spectators.

August

Wildwoods Baby Parade. Starts at the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, and proceeds up the boardwalk to 16th Street. 609-729-4000. (Time to be announced) Aug. 4. Oh, baby. The parade, a tradition since 1909, features lots of cute kids in cute strollers and floats. Rain date is Aug. 5. Free.

Rubber Ducky Regatta. Raging Waters Water park, Morey's Piers, Schellenger Avenue and the Boardwalk, Wildwood. 609-729-2002. 7:30 p.m. Aug. 15. Visitors can watch as thousands of small yellow rubber ducks race. Benefit for United Way of Cape May County. Free for spectators.

"Thunder Over the Boardwalk." Viewable from anywhere along the Atlantic City beach and boardwalk. 609-345-4524 or atlanticcitynj.com/acairshow.asp. 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Aug. 25. Air show featuring aerobatic maneuvers, formation flying, solo routines by military and civilian pilots. Participants include the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard and Air National Guard. Free for spectators.

September

Cape May Food and Wine Festival. Various locations. 609-884-5404 or capemaymac.org. Times vary. Sept. 18-26. Winery tours and tastings, beer-tasting dinner, Gourmet Marketplace, Chefs' Dine-Arounds, chowder contest, seminars, classes, more. Prices vary.
