Police have identified two men shot and killed Saturday in a car in North Baltimore as a 35-year-old male from Essex and a 30-year-old man from the Gardenville neighborhood in the northeast part of the city.

The victims, Jerome Simmons of the first block of High Seas Court in Essex and George Toe of the 4000 block of Ridgecroft Road in Baltimore, have minor criminal records that include convictions for assault and traffic offenses, according to court records.

Police found their bodies about 10:30 p.m. inside a burgundy Buick Park Avenue in the 900 block of N. Hill Road. The car was still running.

Police said that the driver had been shot in the head and torso and that the passenger had been shot several times in the body. Both men were wearing their seat belts.

Detective Jeremy Silbert, a city police spokesman, said investigators have made no arrests and know of no apparent motive in the killings.

Police said Tuesday that they have not yet located relatives of a 42-year-old man who was shot and killed Saturday night in an alley in the 500 block of N. Collington Ave. in East Baltimore. His name has not yet been released.
