'Painting the Light' Oil paintings by plein air artist Tim Bell are on display at McBride Gallery, 215 Main St., Annapolis, through Sunday, May 9. Hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. Information: 410-267-7077.

'Notes & Essays: Eastern Shore Paintings' Works by Elissa O'Loughlin are on display through May 28 at Adkins Arboretum, 12610 Eveland Road, Ridgely. Art exhibits "Paintings Presented by Pen Women" and "New Beginnings" by Barbara Victor, runs through June 27 at The Gallery at 333, in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, 333 Dubois Road.
