Police say speed, alcohol may be factors

A 31-year-old Brooklyn man died early Saturday after a motorcycle crash in Anne Arundel County.

Dante Edward Ford of the 100 block of Key Ave. in Brooklyn was driving a 2000 green Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard at about 12:46 a.m. when he lost control at a bend in the road near Boulevard Place, said Lt. Mike Brothers, spokesman for Anne Arundel Police. Ford veered off the road and struck a concrete barrier, he said.

The crash is still under investigation, but Brothers said speed and alcohol are potential factors.
