Sports apparel company Under Armour has hired retail industry veteran Henry Stafford as its senior vice president of apparel. He will begin his duties in June.

Stafford has extensive experience in the apparel industry, which includes top positions with American Eagle Outfitters and Old Navy. Stafford will report to David McCreight, president of Under Armour.

Stafford served with American Eagle Outfitters for seven years, most recently as chief merchandising officer and senior vice president AE Brand.

Under Armour announced in February that Suzanne J. Karkus, the company's former senior vice president of apparel, was resigning to pursue other interests and be closer to her family in New York.
