Instructors needed

The South Laurel Recreation Council needs certified instructors to teach pilates, Zumba and tennis during spring and/or summer classes in the Laurel area. Information: 301-776-2805.

Savage Library fun

A "Picture Book Parade!" for ages 2-5 with an adult will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursdays at the Savage branch of the Howard County Library. The program includes a craft. "Pajama Time," in which children are invited to come in pajamas and bring teddy bears and blankets, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. The branch is at 9525 Durness Lane in Laurel. Lecture series

The spring history lecture series takes place at 7:30 p.m. every third Wednesday in April and May at Montpelier Mansion, 9650 Muirkirk Road in Laurel. Admission is free. Information: 301-377-7817.
