Slayton House sessions

Slayton House Camp of the Arts is accepting registration for its summer camp sessions at 10400 Cross Fox Lane in Columbia. Dates are June 24-July 9, July 12-30 and Aug. 2-13. Students who have completed a full day of kindergarten and those in grades one through eight are eligible. Art exhibit

The Laurel Art Guild's mixed-media exhibit continues through May 17 at Slayton House Gallery, 10400 Cross Fox Lane. A reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today. Fashion show

A fashion show fundraiser will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Vantage House, 5400 Vantage Point Road. The event will raise money for scholarships given by the Howard County American Association of University Women to two community college students who are going on to a four-year college or university. Cafe and deli art exhibit

"Liberte d' Expression Affirmee," paintings by Edelweiss Calcagno, will be on display through April 30 at the Lakeside Cafe & Deli in the lobby of the American City Building, 10227 Wincopin Circle, Columbia. Hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, closed Sundays. Information: 410-772-3694.

Around town

Support group Spanish-speaking group for family members of an adult or teen with a mental illness meets at 7 p.m. Friday at Wilde Lake Interfaith Center, 10431 Twin Rivers Road. For directions or more information, call 410-772-9300.

Wii club Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks offers a Wii club for those 55 and older from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays at the Bain Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way. The first game is free. Information: 410-313-7213.
