April 16, 2010|By Mary Gail Hare, The Baltimore Sun

A woman was found dead Friday morning after a one-alarm fire at an Owings Mills apartment complex, fire officials said.

Firefighters were called to the first-floor apartment in the 4600 block of Spring Water Court off Lakeside Boulevard about 10 a.m., Baltimore County fire spokeswoman Elise Armacost said.

The fire was confined to the bedroom, where firefighters found Audrey Randell, 66, Baltimore County police said.

An automatic sprinkler extinguished the fire and damage was confined to the apartment, fire officials said. No other injuries were reported.

An autopsy will be completed today, police said. The fire remains under investigation.
