Police are investigating two shootings that occurred within a half-hour of each other Thursday night.

The first occurred at Liberty Heights Avenue and Garrison Boulevard in the Central Forest Park neighborhood in Northwest Baltimore. Police said an adult male walked into Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest about 9:30 p.m.

The second shooting occurred in the 2100 block of Homewood Ave. in East Baltimore Midway neighborhood, just after 10 p.m., when an adult man was shot in the leg. Police said the wound might have been self-inflicted.

A headline on earlier versions of this article incorrectly stated that the two shootings occurred downtown. The Baltimore Sun regrets the error.
