A two-vehicle accident in Lutherville on Wednesday morning sent the driver of a tree-trimming truck to University of Maryland Medical Center, authorities say.

The crash happened at the intersection of Seminary Avenue and Jamieson Road about 7:15 a.m., according to the Baltimore County fire department. The truck driver had to be rescued from the vehicle, and he was flown by medevac helicopter to the hospital, fire officials say. The driver of the car was taken to Greater Baltimore Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Hazardous materials teams were called to the scene to empty diesel fuel from the truck, authorities say.
