Thirteen players scored for Johns Hopkins as it ended a four-game losing streak with a 19-7 men's lacrosse win over Albany this afternoon at Homewood Field.

Freshman John Ranagan had a hat trick and seniors Michael Kimmel (Loyola) and Steven Boyle added two goals and three assists apiece as Johns Hopkins evened its record to 5-5. Junior Kyle Wharton and freshman Zach Palmer also scored twice for the Blue Jays.

The 19 goals are the most for Johns Hopkins since April 3, 2006, when JHU defeated Mount St. Mary's, 19-6.

After spotting Albany (2-8) an early 1-0 lead, the Blue Jays held the Great Danes scoreless for the final 21 minutes of the first half and netted seven goals themselves during that time. Johns Hopkins eventually built the halftime lead to 9-1 with a pair of goals in the first 58 seconds of the third quarter.
