Notre Dame's goal in final seconds defeats Loyola, 11-10

Ansley Stewart scored the game-winning goal with 6.1 seconds left to lift No. 16 Notre Dame (6-4, 2-1 Big East) to an 11-10 victory over No. 13 Loyola (8-3, 2-1) at Ridley Athletic Complex. The Irish gained possession on a late turnover, and Kaitlin Kenna cleared the ball to Gina Scioscia, who fed a pass to Stewart charging toward the cage; the junior attack one-hopped the ball into the net for the victory. Greyhounds midfielder Grace Gavin (St. Paul's) had three goals and two assists. Loyola junior Abby Rehfuss also recorded a hat trick.

Honors: Gavin was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week. ... Navy junior midfielder Katrina Nietsch was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week after finishing with three goals and an assist in a 12-8, come-from-behind win over two-time defending league champion Colgate. ... American sophomore midfielder Emma Larkin (Dulaney) was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week after setting career bests with five ground balls and forced six turnovers in a 19-12 win over Lafayette. ... Towson freshman midfielder Ashley Waldron was selected as Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week after scoring three goals with five assists in a win and a loss. ... Salisbury junior attacker Trish DiGirolomo (Archbishop Spalding) was named CAC Player of the Week after accumulating nine points in a pair of league victories. ... Senior midfielder Brandy Noel (Old Mill) was picked as Hood Athlete of the Week after becoming the program's career goals leader with 98.

Poll: Salisbury was ranked first in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III poll for the third straight week.
