April 06, 2010|By Sports Digest

Morgan State guard Reggie Holmes (St. Frances) and Maryland forwardLandon Milbourne have been chosen to play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, where they'll join 65 other seniors seeking to impress NBA and overseas scouts. The 12-game tournament runs April 7-10 in Portsmouth, Va. Both will play on the Sales Systems LTD team. Holmes, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year, is the first Bear to play at Portsmouth and is trying to become the first Morgan State player in the NBA since Marvin Webster (1975-1987). Milbourne averaged 12.7 points and 4.9 rebounds.

An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified a Maryland player. Landon Milbourne is a forward. The Baltimore Sun regrets the error.
