Terps' Hayes beats Cornell's Wittman in 3-point final

Maryland's Eric Hayes sank a money ball on his last attempt to win the 3-point shooting competition at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Hayes trailed Randy Wittman of Cornell in the final round but made the two-point money ball from the right corner to break a tie and score 17 points in the final, beating Wittman's 15. Hayes had the highest score in each of the three rounds, with each round scored separately.
