The Ravens open their preseason against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, Aug. 12, at M&T Bank Stadium to begin an NFC-filled summer schedule.
The game will be on ESPN.
The Ravens then travel to play their local rival, the Washington Redskins, at FedEx Field on Friday, Aug. 20, or Saturday, Aug. 21. Their third preseason game is home against the New York Giants on Friday, Aug. 27, or Saturday, Aug. 28. Their preseason finale is at the St. Louis Rams on Thursday, Sept. 2.
"Opening on national television gives a little more incentive during training camp to be ready for a large audience," coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "I know that playing the Redskins in the preseason is something our fans enjoy, and gives a backyard rivalry that adds some spice to that game. The Giants, like us, are a tough, physical team similar to those we play in our division, which makes that game a good tuneup. Playing indoors at St. Louis prepares us for that type of environment. ... Overall, it's a good balanced schedule that will help us prepare for the regular season."
