1. "Clash of the Titans": This movie has the potential to royally suck or really be kick-ass and awesome. I'm hoping it's the latter. Check it out in action-packed 3-D glory or good old fashioned 2-D on Friday. TIM WONG, B

2. Usher, Raymond v. Raymond: If this CD is anything like the 1979 movie "Kramer vs. Kramer," it will be a smash success. MATT VENSEL, B

3. April Fools Pants Off Dance Off: This item prompted me to visit the actual "Pants Off Dance Off" site and hear "Dan" say, "I've been known to teabag my friends when they're drunk." That won't be happening here. I think. Dactyl Dactyl, Golgi, Esoterik and Nicky DePaul perform. Doors 8 p.m. Thursday. Ottobar, 2549 N. Howard St., Remington. $5-$7. ANNE TALLENT, B

4. Panoptic: An Experimental Fashion Event: Expect eyepopping fashion when 15 MICA undergrads present creations eight months in the making, amid music from J-No and projected video. 9 p.m. Saturday, 12 W. North Ave., Station North. $5 advance; $10 door. store.mica.edu. ANNE TALLENT, B

5. 'Stargate Universe': Since "Battlestar Galactica" ended, this has taken the throne for my favorite show. The characters are complex and their situations leave your heart pumping and fists clenching for more. Season 1 continues 9 p.m. Friday on Syfy. TIM WONG, B

6. Girls: I've had this show circled on my calendar for weeks. Two of indie-rock's most promising young bands, Girls and Dum Dum Girls, take the Recher Theatre stage Tuesday night. Doors open at 7. $15. 512 York Road, Towson. rechertheatre.com. WESLEY CASE, B

7. Vinylmore 3: Munnyland: Atomic Books kicks off the third incarnation of its annual juried art toy show with a free opening reception at 7 p.m. Friday. Through May 7, check out artists reworking vinyl figures from Kidrobot's Munnyworld series. 3620 Falls Road, Hampden. atomicbooks.com. JORDAN BARTEL, B

8. Open mic night at 8x10: Most Tuesdays of the year, 8x10's open mic contest highlights some of the best talent around. Maybe this will be the week I actually compete. God bless you if I do. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tuesday. the8x10.com. BRIAN KRISTA, B

9. Bon Jovi/Dashboard Confessional: You'll come for the Dashboard Confessional. You'll stay for the Bon Jovi. Or, more likely, you won't. I want to see this double bill if only to meet the seven people around here who are fans of both groups. 7:30 p.m. Monday, Verizon Center. $49.50-$132.50. ADAM SAPIRO, B

10. The new HBO.com: As we soak in the goodness of "The Pacific," eagerly await "Treme" and bide our time until Season 3 of "True Blood," we've been loving HBO's sleek new Web site, complete with preview videos, talk forums and a heavily stocked shop. You know you want an "Eastbound & Down" T-shirt. JORDAN BARTEL, B
