Wine tasting and auction Days End Farm Horse Rescue hosts its annual "Grapes of Hooves" event from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Ten Oaks Ballroom, 5000 Signal Bell Lane in Clarksville. Proceeds will help provide medical treatment and rehabilitation for abused and neglected horses, as well as rescue services. Tickets are $65 in advance, $75 at door. Doggie event The Columbia Association will hold its annual "Dog Day Afternoon" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 17 at Hopewell Park in Columbia. Event features a tail-wagging contest, most fashionable and best costume show, a bone-eating contest, best kisser and more. There will also be raffles, music, face painting and arts and crafts. Bike riding The Columbia Association's annual BikeAbout will be May. 8. In addition to bike-riding, the organization will be offering a walking tour and hosting a post-ride/walk celebration that includes fitness activities, a bike rodeo, bike repair clinics and more. Registration begins at 9 a.m., after an opening ceremony. Bike ride can start any time between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Route will go through Town Center, Wilde Lake, Oakland Mills, Long Reach and Owen Brown.
