Friday Baby animals make their appearance this time of the year. A preschooler introduction to nature through songs and stories in this hourlong program at the Patuxent Research Refuge Visitor Center, Powder Mill Road, Laurel, 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Call 301-497-5887 to register.

Saturday Go on an "owl prowl," 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Patuxent Research Refuge North Tract, Laurel. For ages 5 and up. The North Tract is on Route 198, between the Baltimore- Washington Parkway and Route 32. Reservations: 301-497-5887.

HUNTING
