Gibbons is an anchor for the community

March 14, 2010

I support the Cardinal Gibbons School in their bid to remain open. This school is a community anchor that serves those from all walks of life. The staff of the Cardinal Gibbons School does a wonderful job guiding their young men to be responsible members of the community. They are fulfilling the archdiocesean goals of educating in a faith based program, and allowing this school to close is a disservice to the students and community. The Cardinal Gibbons School has an active alumni association and strong parent support. It saddens me to think of the students at Cardinal Gibbons who would not be able to continue their Catholic education should the school close, and I am sad for those who will not have had the opportunity to experience the education offered at Cardinal Gibbons.
