Virginia Tech junior guard Malcolm Delaney (Towson Catholic) was named Atlantic Coast Conference men's Player of the Week. On Wednesday night, he scored 21 points to lead the Hokies past North Carolina State in their home finale; Delaney shot 6-for-12 from the field, including 3-for-6 from 3-point range. In the regular-season finale win at Georgia Tech on Saturday, Delaney led all scorers with a season-high-tying 32 points and nine assists.

WOMEN: Towson's Shanae Baker-Brice, who scored a game-high 20 points, including nine in overtime, in a win at Old Dominion, was named the Co-Player of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association. ... Maryland sophomore center Lynetta Kizer was named to the ACC all-tournament second team after averaging 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two games.
