Towson women beat ODU for 1st time, 64-56 in OT on road

Shanae Baker-Brice scored nine of Towson's 14 points in overtime to lead the Tigers to a 64-56 road win over Old Dominion in the regular-season finale for both teams. Towson (15-14, 9-9) earned its first win ever over the Monarchs (16-12, 14-4), who captured the Colonial Athletic Association regular-season title. Old Dominion led 54-53 with 2:29 to play in overtime when Katrina Wheeler hit a pair of free throws at 2:05 to start a 10-0 Tigers run. Baker-Brice capped the stretch with a pair of free throws with 14 seconds remaining and the Tigers led 63-54. Old Dominion got one final basket before Haliena Snowden hit one of two from the line to seal the victory.

Elsewhere: Sophomore guard Katie Biggs (Glenelg) scored 19 points to lead Shepherd (17-11) to a 76-64 win over Seton Hill (22-7) in a West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinal in Charleston. The Griffons had won 13 straight games.
