Wine find: 2007 Ca' Montini 'L'Aristocratico' Pinot Grigio

March 03, 2010|By Michael Dresser | Baltimore Sun reporter

From: Trentino, Italy Price: $15 Serve with: White-fleshed fish, shellfish

This has long been one of the most complex Italian pinot grigios - and a fine alternative to more expensive, better-known competitors. It's a full-bodied, dry white wine with an abundance of apple, pear, honey and mineral flavors. It finishes long and smooth, and will neither overwhelm nor be overshadowed by food.
