McDaniel wins Centennial

Loyola used a 13-2 stretch over a 6 1/2-minute stretch in the first half to build a 13-point lead and senior forward Kaitlin Grant scored 19 points to lead the Greyhounds to a 68-50 MAAC home win over Siena. The victory secured the No. 6 seed in next weekend's conference tournament.

More games: Playing in their final home game, Towson's five seniors accounted for 44 points in a 56-45 win over Delaware in Colonial Athletic Association action. The Tigers (14-14, 8-9 CAA) ended a three-game losing streak as Katrina Wheeler grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds. ... Ashley Lyles (St. Vincent Pallotti) led four McDaniel players in double figures with 15 to carry the Green Terror (20-6) to a 72-56 victory over host Muhlenberg (21-5) in the Centennial Conference championship game. It was the school's fourth conference title and first since 2005. Ali Moreland (South River) added 13 points, and Sally Grace (Mount de Sales) had 12 for McDaniel. Whitney Snoops (Archbishop Spalding) added 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Green Terror earned the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III tournament, which will begin Friday; the Green Terror will learn its opponent today.
