IRS attacker was no conservative

February 26, 2010

Well, it appears that professor Thomas F. Schaller received his talking points and got right to doing his handlers' work ("A double standard in what we define as 'terrorism,'" Feb. 23). If he had read the misguided "manifesto" left by Joseph Stack, he would have seen for himself that it was full of anger at big business, big religion and big government (only one out of the three is the true purview of the tea party, the other two are clearly the whipping boys of the liberal left).

In fact, if Professor Schaller had bothered to read the screed to the end, he would have found out all he needed to know about where this disturbed man's allegiance really lay (and I quote):

"The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

"The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed."

Would that be coming from the playbook of the tea party movement, or from the playbook of President Obama and the so-called progressive movement? Don't look to Mr. Schaller for the accurate answer to that question.
