D-League forward Harris signs with depleted Wizards

Kokinis, Browns resolve differences

The Washington Wizards signed forward Mike Harris to a 10-day contract after losing Josh Howard for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Harris, 6 feet 6, was averaging 26.3 points and 9.8 rebounds in 28 games for Rio Grande Valley in the NBA Development League.

Women's college soccer: George Mason announced that goalkeeper Lyndse Hokanson (South River), a two-year member of the U.S. Region I Olympic Developmental Team, has signed a letter of intent.

College gymnastics: Towson junior Megan Wooden (Perry Hall) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I Gymnast of the Week.

College softball: UMBC junior second baseman Lauren Brummell was named America East Softball Player of the Week.

College wrestling: Maryland's Hudson Taylor was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week for the fourth time this season.
