Goode's 26 lift Mount to win over Central Conn. State

Jeremy Goode scored a season- and game-high 26 points to lead host Mount St. Mary's past Central Connecticut State, 85-58, Thursday at Knott Arena. The Mountaineers (12-14, 9-6 Northeast Conference) stretched their winning streak to seven games. Goode hit nine of 14 shots from the field while adding five steals and three assists. Kelly Beidler added 14 points and five rebounds; Shawn Atupem chipped in 14 points and four assists in the victory. The Mount shot 53.3 percent from the field and a season-best 64.3 percent (9-for-14) from 3-point range in the game. The Blue Devils shot 50.0 percent in the contest but committed 21 turnovers that led to 32 Mount St. Mary's points.

Mount St. Mary's women 55, Central Connecticut State 45: Mary Dunn scored 11 points and the host Mountaineers beat the Blue Devils. Dunn went 4-for-5 from the foul line and connected on three field goals including a 3-pointer for the Mount (9-16, 5-10 NEC). It marked the 15th time this season the junior has recorded a double-figure scoring performance. Kerrianne Dugan led the Blue Devils (9-16, 6-9) with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Mount St. Mary's took the lead midway through the first half and held on to keep hope of making its 21st straight NEC tournament alive.

UMBC 51, Albany 40: Michelle Kurowski recorded a game-high 21 points to power the host Retrievers past the Great Danes. UMBC (12-14, 6-7 America East) trailed by two at the half before outscoring Albany (9-17, 2-11) 29-16 in the second half. Charity Iromuanya had 15 points for Albany.

Drexel 58, Towson 52: Shanae Baker-Brice had 13 points as the visiting Tigers (13-12, 7-7 Colonial Athletic Association) fell to the Dragons (17-8, 11-3).
