Seton Keough comes back from snow layoff with rout of Mercy

Junior forward Achiri Ade scored 15 points and blocked four shots as No. 6 Seton Keough beat visiting Mercy, 66-26, in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference tournament quarterfinal Wednesday night.

"We had to get back in the groove after being off so long because of the snow," Gators assistant coach Cassie Puls said. "We let our defense dictate the offense."

Point guard Rianna Frazer contributed 14 points and three assists for Seton Keough, which improved to 14-9.

The Magic fell to 6-12.

No. 5 Arundel 57, Broadneck 28: Talen Watson scored 15 points in the Wildcats' win over the host Bruins (3-11).

No. 6 City 69, Du Bois 33: Nick Faust led all scorers with 15 points as the host Knights ran their record to 16-2 in league play.

No. 13 Patterson 89, Carver 64: Freshman guard Aquille Carr scored 21 points in the first half as the Clippers (12-6) cruised past the visiting Bears (9-6). Carr finished with 33 points and 13 assists.

No. 11 Old Mill 91, Northeast 76: Senior guard Chris Day recorded the 1,000th point of his four-year varsity career as the Patriots (16-3) won.
