4 O's exhibition games to be televised by MASN

MASN will televise four Orioles exhibition games this spring, all of which will appear on MASN's flagship dedicated high-definition channel: March 7 at 1 p.m. against the Boston Red Sox, March 25 at 1 p.m. against the New York Yankees, March 29 at 7 p.m. against the Yankees and March 31 at 1 p.m. against the Red Sox.

Nationals: Washington designated left-hander Doug Slaten for assignment to open a roster spot for second baseman Adam Kennedy, whose contract was finalized Friday.

State honor: The Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches will induct three members into its Hall of Fame on Friday night at Camden Yards: George Henderson, who coached Essex Community College to a National Junior College Athletic Association national championship in 1992; Rod Cameron, general manager of Team Maryland, assistant coach at Mount St. Joseph and past president of the MSABC; and Fred Kreiger, whose teams at Allegany and Boonsboro High won 228 games in his time there.
