An unidentified man was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon, the third deadly attack in a 36-hour period, according to city police.
A police department spokesman said officers responded to a call for shots fired at the corner of Ruxton Avenue and Presbury Street and found a man lying on the sidewalk about 12:30 p.m. The victim was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police have no suspects and no motives.
Earlier Wednesday, a man was fatally stabbed in the neck in East Baltimore at about 3:15 a.m., and a 21-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday morning.
The spate of violence comes after an eight-day streak of no homicides in the city.
