Edgewood American Legion hall destroyed in collapse

February 12, 2010

The American Legion Hall in Edgewood collapsed under the weight of snow Wednesday and was completely destroyed. Nobody was in the hall when the 2,500-square-foot wood frame structure caved in about 4 p.m. Harford County fire and rescue personnel responded to the incident. A damage estimate was not available. Harford officials are concerned that heavy snow will cause more flat roofs to collapse.
