Balto. Co. officer hit by car after 2 hold up drugstore

A Baltimore County police officer was hit by a car while attempting to arrest a man after a robbery Wednesday morning, a Police Department spokesman said. Police responded to a call for an armed robbery in the 1000 block of York Road about 2 a.m. Two suspects, one with a handgun, robbed a CVS drugstore and left in a car, police said. As the suspects were driving away, an officer ordered the car to stop, according to police. The officer fired a shot as the car sped toward him, according to a department spokesman. The officer missed and was hit in the leg by the car. Police said the officer was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center but has been released. The two men were taken into custody, according to police. Authorities have not released the names of the men or the injured officer.
