Maryland GreenHawks trade first-round pick for Randy Gill

The Maryland GreenHawks of the Premier Basketball League acquired guard Randy Gill from the Rochester RazorSharks in exchange for the team's 2010 first-round draft pick. Gill averaged 8.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in seven games with Rochester this season. Gill last played for the GreenHawks during the 2007-08 season, when he averaged 16.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. During the 2008-09 season, when he split time between Montreal and Detroit, he averaged 21.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists. He was named to the All-PBL first team. "I'm happy to be coming home," Gill said. "I'm excited to be putting back on a Maryland jersey and turning things around." Said GreenHawks general manager Adam Dantus: "We're excited to be able to add him and feel like he's someone that's going to help our team moving forward." To make room on the roster, the GreenHawks released guard Lamar Castile.
