UMBC women lose to Hartford

Freshman Chris Fouch scored 28 points to help the Drexel men rout Towson, 97-55. The Tigers (5-17, 2-10 Colonial Athletic Association) couldn't build on their last win, 58-53, over UNC-Wilmington on Saturday. Fouch connected on six of seven 3-point attempts and needed just 23 minutes to accumulate his 28 points for the Dragons (13-11, 8-4). Towson was led by Isaiah Philmore, who scored 12 points.

More men: Bowie State (11-7, 9-5 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) lost, 73-68, to Saint Paul's (3-13, 2-12) despite 20 points from Armond Hill and 15 points and eight blocks by Travis Hyman (Old Mill). ... St. Mary's senior Camontae Griffin (Dunbar) was named Pride of Maryland Player of the Week.

Women: Carlee Cassidy had 13 points for visiting UMBC, which fell to Hartford, 85-45. The Hawks (19-3, 10-0 America East) used a 19-5 run midway through the first half to break the game open. ... Bowie State (11-4) moved up to No. 25 in the USA Today ESPN Division II poll.
