A water main break in downtown Baltimore that shut down the light rail and street traffic has been repaired. Kurt Kocher, a spokesman for Baltimore's Department of Public Works, says the repair was completed Saturday morning. On Friday evening, the break in the 12-inch water main flooded streets and sidewalks and began to ice over. Water service was cut to about 20 buildings in the area. Kocher says a contractor was working in the area when the break occurred. Part of North Eutaw Street remained closed Saturday morning while repairs were under way.
