The Maryland GreenHawks released Daniel Artest on Friday. The power forward and brother of Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest was averaging 8.0 points and 5.6 rebounds this season. "We thank Daniel for his contributions to the GreenHawks organization both on the court and in the community," GreenHawks general manager Adam Dantus said. "We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
