Fire alarm empties Memphis crowd

FedEx Forum was evacuated during Tuesday night's game between the host Grizzlies and the Clippers after a broken water pipe near a loading dock caused fire alarms to go off.

With 47.8 seconds left in the third quarter, a message came on the scoreboard for the crowd at the game to evacuate the building. The game was delayed 36 minutes before play resumed. The Grizzlies went on to a 104-102 victory.

•At least two more Wizards players, Javale McGee and Mike Miller, spoke to authorities about the Gilbert Arenas gun investigation. A third player, Andray Blatche, also was slated to discuss the case and was suspended for Tuesday's game against the Pistons game for conduct detrimental to the team. Miller also missed the game with a right calf injury, and the Wizards lost 99-90.

•Kings leading scorer Kevin Martin, who has missed more than two months with a fractured left wrist, will to return to practice Wednesday. ... Hornets owner George Shinn, 68, will undergo surgery Wednesday to remove his prostate after being diagnosed with cancer in November. ... The NBA has fined two unidentified teams $10,000 apiece for violating the rule preventing players from standing for long periods of time in front of their bench.
