The top-ranked Mount St. Joseph basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season in convincing fashion. Matt Miller scored a game-high 21 points as the Gaels (11-1) beat Socastee (S.C.), 83-41, at the Beachball Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Tuesday.

Mount St. Joseph lost to Cedar Hill ( Texas), 56-53, Monday.

No. 2 Calvert Hall 43, Pennsbury 35: Jonathan Graham had a game-high 18 points to lead the Cardinals (9-2) past the Falcons of Pennsylvania in the semifinals of the Benedictine Capital City Classic in Richmond, Va.

No. 3 St. Frances 74, St. Edward 66: The Panthers (7-4) - led by Dante Holmes' 22 points - trailed by 11 at halftime before outscoring the Eagles of Ohio 43-24 in the second half.

No. 2 Roland Park 48, Holy Trinity (N.Y.) 22: Daisy Alaeze led all scorers with 15 points as the Reds (10-1) beat the Titans in the second round of the BBOWS Holly and Hoops Tournament at Mount de Sales.
