• The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging will offer information about its services and answer questions from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. today at Baltimore Washington Medical Center's Arundel Mills Outreach Center located between Dave and Buster's and mall entrance #4. Free. Call 410-787-4367.

• Howard County General Hospital offers a class called "Happiest Baby on the Block" from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Medical Pavilion at Howard County, 10710 Charter Drive, Suite 100, Columbia. The class will teach parents of babies up to 3 months old and parents-to-be how to soothe a crying baby. $50 per couple includes parent kits. • Harbor Hospital presents a seminar on the latest in cosmetic surgery with plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Gary Vela, who will discuss procedures like body contouring, the "Mommy Makeover" and other cosmetic surgery options.
