Blue Jackets 1 Red Wings 2 Todd Bertuzzi scored both goals, his 11th and 12th of the season, to end a three-game losing streak. Jackets lost their ninth straight. Capitals 4 Devils 1 Alexander Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom each had a goal and two assists in their first win over the Devils in four games. Canadiens 3 Maple Leafs 2 Andrei Kostitsyn scored 34 seconds into overtime and Jaroslav Halak had 47 saves for the Canadiens fourth-straight win. Islanders 3 Rangers 2 Kyle Okposo scored 4:13 into overtime for the game-winner. Okposo also assisted on goals from Frans Nielsen and Blake Comeau. Flyers 4 Hurricanes 3 Mike Richards and Danny Briere each had a goal in regulation and in the shootout and Michael Leighton had 39 saves. Senators 3 Sabres 2 Alexei Kovalev and Mike Fisher had shootout goals and each added assists as Senators won third straight from Sabres. Thrashers 3 Lightning 4 Alex Tanguay scored his first goal in 19 games, and Vincent Lecavalier had three assists for just their 4th win the last 19 games. Blackhawks 4 Predators 1 The Hawks scored three in the second period to break open a 1-1 game. Jonathan Toews and Tomas Kopecky each had two assists. Blues 3 Wild 4 Guillaume Latendresse scored twice for the Wild's second straight win. The Blues had their three-game win streak snapped. Stars 1 Avalanche 4 Chris Stewart scored two third-period goals to give him 11 for the season and nine in the month. Milan Hejduk added his 15th. Kings Coyotes The two biggest surprises in the West have yet to falter, with each going 7-2-1 in their last 10. The Coyotes led the Kings by a point. Oilers Canucks Final game of an NHL-high eight-game homestand for the Canucks, who had won five of the first seven. Oilers had lost five straight. Ducks Sharks This is the fourth of six meetings between the teams and the Sharks have won the first three. Sharks are 9-2-5 at home.
