Man, 21, shot Saturday at Gilmor Homes complex

December 27, 2009

On Saturday, Baltimore police sought a suspect in the second nonfatal shooting in less than a week in Gilmor Homes public housing complex in West Baltimore. At 11:35 a.m., a man with a gun approached another man in the 1400 block of Mountmor Court, and opened fire, striking his victim several times, according to police spokesman Donny Moses. The assailant ran away. The 21-year-old victim underwent surgery at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was expected to survive, Moses said. No arrests have been made. Last Sunday, also in the Gilmor Homes complex, a man was shot in the leg shortly before 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of Bakbury Court.
