3 Shootings, One Fatal, In City's East Side

Three men were shot, one of them fatally, during a span of less than four hours Tuesday in East Baltimore, said a city police spokesman. No arrests had been made in the shootings.

And in Brooklyn, a girl, 15, was shot in the head about 8:10 p.m. while talking to several other people in the 4200 block of 10th St. and was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said. Her name was not released. Police were attempting to determine whether the girl was an intended target.

The fatal shooting occurred at 3:20 p.m. near East Madison and Aisquith streets in the Oldtown community, where a man was shot in the chest and died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His name was withheld pending notification of family members.

About 7 p.m., a cabdriver was shot in the neck during a robbery in the 600 block of N. Glover St. and was taken by ambulance to Hopkins, where he was treated and was expected to survive.

A few minutes later in the nearby 700 block of N. Linwood Ave., a man was shot in the head by an unknown assailant and was reported in very critical condition at Hopkins. He was not expected to survive.
