Anne Arundel County police arrested a Columbia man Friday evening and charged him in connection with the wounding of a Dunkin' Donuts clerk who was shot through the drive-through window, police said. Police said the 48-year-old clerk at the shop in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road in Odenton was wounded about 2:20 a.m. Dec. 12 after he did not comply with demands for cash from a man who came to the drive-through window with a shotgun. The clerk was wounded and treated at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said. The department's Special Enforcement Team arrested Jared Ashur Williams, 21, of the 5400 block of Harvest Moon Lane, Columbia, and charged him with attempted murder and related charges, according to police. Police said they found a weapon they believe was used in the shooting.
