Roland Park girls top Bishop Sullivan, 48-29

No. 2 Roland Park girls basketball team started the first round of the Lady Trojan Classic on a 10-0 run and never looked back in beating Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Va.), 48-29, Friday at Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg, Va.

The Reds (9-0) hit a season-high five 3-pointers and advanced to tonight's scheduled championship game at 7:30.

Beth Kelly and Lauren Edwards scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, to lead Roland Park.

No. 8 Meade 93, Glen Burnie 27: Imani Bailey and Alissa Chambliss scored 21 each to power the host Mustangs (6-0) past the Gophers (0-6).

No. 10 Arundel 61, Broadneck 30: Sheronne Vails had a game-high 19 points as the host Wildcats (3-1) beat the Bruins (1-3). Arundel built a 33-14 lead at halftime and never trailed.

No. 12 Catonsville 60, Milford Mill 28: Zoey Whittington scored a game-high 19 points to power the visiting Comets (6-0) past the Millers (4-2).

No. 3 Calvert Hall 55, Loyola 30: Senior forward John Graham had 23 points and pulled down 20 rebounds as the host Cardinals (6-2) defeated the Dons (1-3) last night.
